Honest Evangelism

Honest Evangelism by Rico Tice is a great book for starting discussions about Jesus Christ. Whether you’re looking for a good book about witnessing to share with a small group at church, or you just want a book about evangelism for your personal study, this book is valuable tool. It is well-written, encouraging, and inspiring. While reading this book, I liked contemplating why people don’t evangelize – Tice says one reason is idolatry – and I also liked planning how to evangelize better. This is a good book to examine how we as Christians are currently witnessing Jesus Christ’s love, and what we can do better. The book studies how our culture has changed over time and how this has affected people’s evangelism styles, which I found to be very helpful.

I liked how the book did not just gloss over the difficulties relating to evangelism, since it can be a hard thing to do. The book is realistic, and does not paint evangelism as something simple and easy. I also thought it was interesting that Tice talked about differing evangelism styles based on people’s personalities. This book was very thought-provoking, and I am glad to have read it.

I received a review copy from Cross Focused Reviews. You can find the book here on Amazon.
