At five years old, Annabel Beam was diagnosed with two incuracle disorders: pseudo-obstruction motility disorder and antral hypomotility disorder. The disorders were life-threatening, and Annabel was constantly in and out of the hospital. But at age nine, another horrific event occurred: while Annabel was climbing a tree, she fell thirty feet inside that hollow tree. A fall like that could easily paralyze or kill someone, but Annabel was unharmed. While she was unconscious, she saw a glimpse of Jesus and Heaven, and afterwards, her disorders miraculously went away.
The biographical book chronicling Annabel’s story, Miracles from Heaven: A Little Girl, Her Journey to Heaven, and Her Amazing Story of Healing, is written by Annabel’s mother, Christy Wilson Beam. It’s an amazing story; Annabel went through a terrible medical ordeal, and had a horrific accident, but God still had wonderful plans for her. The book is well-written, and story is presented in a beautiful and captivating manner.
Miracles from Heaven is a great book for mothers, Christians, or anyone who wants to read this miraculous story. Beam’s writing is uplifting, and the book is definitely a page-turner. If you want to be encouraged and inspired, I definitely recommend reading it. Annabel and her family went through so much, yet Annabel (and Christy) demonstrated amazing strength and courage. I wish there were more books like Miracles from Heaven!
