Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling is a comical book composed of musings about life. Among her stories, Kaling talks about her time on The Office, showrunning The Mindy Project, and her unique friendship with B.J. Novak. Each chapter is like a well-written essay, and I enjoyed reading Kaling’s perspectives on love, relationships, and growing up. One of the best parts of the book was a string of fictional e-mails that would have occurred in Kaling’s alternative life, if she had been a Latin teacher at The Dalton School. The book is very funny, though I wish it was devoid of the occasional risque line. Overall, Why Not Me? is entertaining, and Kaling writes stories that are both witty and memorable. If you want to learn more about Kaling’s life and have a good laugh, it’s a great book to check out. You can find Why Not Me? here.
