Money Making Mom: How Every Woman Can Earn More and Make a Difference by Crystal Paine provides good advice and encouragement for how to succeed as an entrepreneur – or just make a little money on the side. Paine is a frugal and clever businesswoman, and she shares her own stories as well as the accounts of others to demonstrate how women can efficiently use their time and energy to make more money. Paine incorporates both specific tips and general advice, making the book both practical and inspirational.

Aside from a few minor tips, I did not learn any major advice about business or entrepreneurship through this book. However, I did enjoy reading Money Making Mom, because Paine’s upbeat and motivational writing style turned the book into an encouraging read. For women who are just starting out as entrepreneurs or are eager to create their own businesses, Paine’s book is very supportive of these entrepreneurial dreams and provides many great ideas for starting new ventures. Women who are more seasoned entrepreneurs will probably be familiar with Paine’s advice, but they still may gravitate towards the book as they relate to Paine’s entrepreneurial journey and the stories of various women who climbed the business ladder in unique ways.
