Robert’s Rules Quickstart Guide by ClydeBank Business explains the intricacies of Robert’s Rules of Order, which is a meeting guide originally published in 1876 that discusses how to conduct meetings and make group decisions. The book is organized well, and its charts, clear formatting, and bold paragraph headings make it easy to understand. This book may come in handy when starting a new, formal social club – perhaps a Toastmasters or Rotary club. Some sections of particular interest to me were Bylaws Should Not Be Easy to Change, Examples of Subsidiary Motions, and Election Methods. The book is very detailed, and the topics discussed may settle conflict that arises pertaining to club politics.
