The Pediatrician’s Guide to Feeding Babies & Toddlers: Practical Answers to Your Questions on Nutrition, Starting Solids, Allergies, Picky Eating, and More by Anthony F. Porto, MD and Dina M. DiMaggio, MD is a question-and-answer guide focusing on child health and nutrition. The book also features healthy recipes, like Roasted Butternut Squash Puree and Pistachio-Toasted Salmon. One of the nice things about the book is that the authors include many handy charts, such as a chart on the signs of dehydration, or charts listing sources of heme iron-rich foods and non-heme iron-rich foods. Other sections of the book that were very valuable focused on infant GERD and celiac disease. The book has quite a lot of information, so it’s definitely one that I’m going to hang onto.
