Christmas Love Letters from God: Bible Stories is a lovely Christmas-themed children’s book, written by Glenys Nellist and illustrated by Rachel Clowes. The book covers the Biblical stories of Isaiah hearing about the Savior’s coming, Mary being told she is with child, Joseph’s dream, the birth of Jesus, the shepherds meeting Jesus, and the Wise Men following the star. Each of the stories also has a relevant pop-up “letter from God,” which children can lift up and read.

Nellist’s books (which also include Snuggle Time Prayers and Snuggle Time Psalms) are some of the best books published by Zonderkidz. Nellist is an excellent writer, and her books are simply enjoyable to read. Clowes’ illustrations in Christmas Love Letters from God look beautiful, and the text and drawings are formatted in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

It is always nice to find a high-quality children’s book – especially one that would make a great Christmas gift or new baby gift – and this book definitely fits the bill. Christmas Love Letters from God is one that you’ll want to keep on your child’s bookshelf!
