Spaceman: An Astronaut’s Unlikely Journey to Unlock the Secrets of the Universe is a memoir by Mike Massimino, an astronaut who first took orbit in 2002. If you ever want to catch an in-depth look into the journey toward becoming an astronaut – as well as what life looks like after the missions are over – Spaceman is an informative book to read. (It joins the ranks of many other astronaut autobiographies, such as Buzz Aldrin’s Reaching for the Moon.) Although Massimino includes sections about his personal life, the bulk of the book focuses on Massimino’s work and career. It would make an intriguing read for engineers or lovers of all things space.
