Paul the Apostle: A Graphic Novel by Ben Avery and Mark Harmon is a science fiction adaptation of the Apostle Paul’s story, presented in the form of a graphic novel. It is such an awesome, visually-stunning book! You can tell a lot of time, energy, and passion was put into making it. The comics looks very professional, and the drawings are first-rate.
The Biblical characters are drawn to look like animal or alien-type creatures. The style reminds me (a tiny bit) of Teen Titans. It is a very aesthetically appealing book, but the book’s true merit lies in the message it sends: the message of Jesus Christ. It is a Biblically-sound book, and reading it is a good way for people to learn about or reacquaint themselves with Paul’s journeys. I also like how the book is currently selling for only $15.99 on the publisher’s website, because it seems like a lot of hardbound, full-cover books of this caliber usually go for about $25.
In summary, I really cannot get over how amazing this book is! Paul’s story is naturally an exciting one, so it is quite fitting that it has been formatted into this exciting graphic novel.
