Eva Shockey is a 29-year-old Canadian hunter and the enthusiastic co-host of her father’s TV show, Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures. Besides being a skilled hunter, she is also a supporter of wildlife conservation, and she is the first woman in 30 years to make the cover of Field & Stream magazine. (The only other woman to appear on the cover of the magazine was Queen Elizabeth.)
Eva’s new book, Taking Aim: Daring to be Different, Happier, and Healthier in the Great Outdoors, talks both about her hunting experiences and her life in general. I have read many reviews from hunters who really related to the book, though you may also enjoy the book even if you are not a hunter, because you can learn about Eva’s adventures in the great outdoors and what it is like to be a professional hunter. Eva seems like a very down-to-earth person, and I liked reading stories from her life.
