An Inconvenient Beauty is a Christian romance novel by Kristi Ann Hunter. Griffith, Duke of Riverton, thinks he may marry Miss Frederica St. Claire, but he finds himself interested in her cousin, Miss Isabella Breckenridge, who is making her society debut.
Griffith is a very likable character, which in turns makes Hunter’s book a likable romance novel. Griffith is heroic, but he does not feel like a stock character. He is relatable and has flaws – though not enough flaws to dislike him. I enjoyed Hunter’s writing style; she paints her scenes with vivid description.
An Inconvenient Beauty is the fourth and last book in Hunter’s Hawthorne House series, bringing the series to a nice conclusion.
