Crack Yourself Up Jokes for Kids by Sandy Silverthorne is a cute collection of jokes for children. The jokes are funny – and since they are for kids, they are nice and clean. I would have loved a book like this when I was about eight years old. (And, because the book is 144 pages and 4.2 x 7.2 inches, it is easy for an eight-year-old to read relatively quickly!)
The jokes are written in various styles. Some of them involve two people talking to each other, whereas others are written in question and answer format. Some of the joke types were ones I was familiar with, like knock knock jokes and a dumb blonde joke. The jokes are witty and make good use of puns, without being mean. A child who reads this book may be inspired to write his or her own jokes!
