Acres of Diamonds: Discovering God’s Best Right Where You Are by Jentezen Franklin is a book about thriving in our current season of life. The author reminds us that we do not necessarily need a different or better life, but that we can look closer at the life we already have and discover what God had in store for us right here and right now.

I like the stories that Franklin uses to illustrate his points; he is a gifted storyteller. One of my favorite chapters was, “Take This Job and Love It” – especially the part where Franklin talks about how “work is worship.” Another favorite chapter of mine was called “Focus on the Positive.” Franklin has delivered a very positive, inspirational read; it is an optimistic book. The book helps readers seize the day and appreciate the moment.
