Life Unstuck: Finding Peace with Your Past, Purpose in Your Present, Passion for Your Future by Pat Layton is an uplifting book, encouraging women to overcome their obstacles to find peace and embrace new possibilities. This is a book for people who feel “stuck” in life, along with tips on how to embrace who we are and draw closer to God. I really enjoyed reading how Layton tied in her own life stories into her advice. I thought it was great how she discussed how people can use their past to light the way to their futures, and I also liked her chapter about darkness versus light.
A great thing about the book is that it is upbeat. Layton is like a cheerleader, inspiring you to be your best. She encourages the readers to embrace their quirks, which is a significant thing for people who feel that they must look or act perfect. It was nice when Layton talked about the “freedom to be flawed.” Layton emphasizes that it’s great to just be yourself, and she shows the importance of having a solid relationship with God, making this an excellent book.
I received a review copy from Revell. You can pick up the book here on Amazon.
