Read and Share 5 Minute Bible Stories by Gwen Ellis is a large, 185-page collection of brief Bible stories for children. Each story delivers a great message based on its corresponding Bible account, and the words are written in a way that is easy for children to understand. The drawings are very cute, and I especially loved the darling drawings in the story about Miriam and Moses.

Each illustration aptly depicts the thoughts and emotions of that particular story. Some of my favorite stories were “Jesus Heals a Sick Boy” and “The Walking Snake Miracle.” Children who read this book with their parents will become very familiar with the major stories of the Bible. This is an excellent collection of Bible stories, and it serves as a great teaching tool for children. My only problem with this book is that it has very thick pages, and I got a painful paper cut when opening the book.
