ITIL: For Beginners – The Complete Beginner’s Guide To ITIL by Clydebank Technology is an introductory guide to ITIL, a set of practices and methods for IT management. The 93-page book reads like a programming textbook, introducing the reader to service management and strategy. The book is nicely formatted, sectioning key ideas into informative paragraphs. I especially liked the chapter “A Case for ITIL,” which reminds readers that “ITIL does not exist solely in paper, nor in a vacuum.” The guidebook provides the groundwork for learning ITIL, and then demonstrates how IT operation can transition from theoretical principles to working business technology.
