What We Believe: Understanding and Confessing the Apostle’s Creed by R.C. Sproul delves into an analysis of the Apostle’s Creed, exploring what it means believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Sproul breaks down the Apostle’s Creed statement by statement, and I like the author’s in-depth interpretations of these oft-recited words. I especially appreciated the sections talking about concrete and abstract language in relation to the creed, as well as defining the Body of Christ and discussing the Holy “Ekklesia.” It is a nice book for people who are wanting to get more familiar with the Apostle’s Creed, as well as those who would like to deeply explore the meaning of these important words.
