I’m a big fan of smoothies, so I was eager to check out Green Smoothies: 66 Recipes and a 7-Day Detox Plan by Fern Green. True to its title, the book features 66 smoothie recipes, from Purple Ginger to Pineapple Twist. My favorite smoothie ideas were Coconut Kale (which blends coconut, pineapple, and kale), Blueberry Kale (which mixes things up with blueberries, pears, and lemon), and Watermelon (which also includes lettuce, lemon, and banana).
Each type of smoothie is featured over two book pages and showcases photographs of the raw ingredients, as well as what the smoothie looks like in blended form. The book also lists the ingredients and includes directions for each recipe. It’s a fun book for smoothie lovers, and just looking through it makes me want to blend a smoothie as soon as I can!
