Sonnets of Faith, written Dona Wilding Haws and illustrated by Dan Burr, is an inspirational book of devotions, written in the form of sonnets. It also includes King James Bible verses. One of my favorite poems was “The Dove of Peace,” which talks about God’s peace and love, and one of my favorite illustrations was a drawing in which Jesus is showing a bird to a young girl.
Sonnets of Faith has a very professional look to it. It’s paperback, but the pages are thick, and the book has a nice dust jacket. I like the old-fashioned feel of the book. The sonnets not only remind me of a different time, but the King James verses and lovely artistic pieces (which resemble paintings) give the book a classic feel. The sonnets and illustrations are beautiful.
