The book What Good Is Jesus? by Marv Nelson acknowledges that we live in a fallen world, but demonstrates why people truly need Jesus Christ. Some sections of the book that I particularly liked were Jesus Has a Purpose for Humanity, Jesus Makes Us Better, and Jesus Understands Our Suffering. I like how the book is written in a sincere yet friendly tone. Another nice touch is that each chapter ends with discussion questions, helping readers to reflect on the material. The book is encouraging. It shows that just because the world isn’t perfect, we shouldn’t lose our faith in Jesus Christ.
