The Mother Letters: Sharing the Laughter, Joy, Struggles, and Hope is a collection of letters written by mothers, to fellow mothers. The letters emphasize that motherhood is no easy task, but that it has such importance and value. The letters cover a variety of topics, from mothering children to special needs to appreciating the mundane parts of life. I especially liked the letters written by the bloggers Sarah Bessey and Lee Loughlin. The only thing that I disliked about this book was that it did not have a table of contents with the authors’ names along with the page numbers of their letters.
I was asked to write my own “mother letter,” so here it is!
To a Mother:
Your children are not only your blessings – they are blessed to have you as their mother. You work hard. Your work is challenging, and sometimes underappreciated. Your work is difficult, and often underrated. Many of your efforts go unseen by man, but your work is seen by God, and it forever changes the lives of your children.
