Last year, I loved reading Sarah Parshall Perry’s book Sand in My Sandwich: And Other Motherhood Messes I’m Learning to Love, so I was very excited to read Perry’s newest book, Mommy Needs a Raise (Because Quitting’s Not an Option). The book is a witty and comforting commentary on motherhood, and Perry crafts her parenting stories into entertaining tales. As a book reviewer, I read quite often, and a writing style as strong and rich as Perry’s is often hard to find. The book emphasizes the extremely important role of a mother, all while presenting itself in a humorous and delightful manner.
