Honor Redeemed, a historical fiction novel by Christine Johnson, is set in Key West in the 1850s. The book focuses on Prosperity Jones, a woman who travels from Nantucket to Key West to reunite with her true love, David, only to find that he has married someone else.

In Key West, Prosperity meets a kind physician, aptly named Dr. Goodenow. And she also finds out why David married so quickly. The great thing about Honor Redeemed is that it shows how one of the most important things in a relationship is having high character. Johnson’s novel makes you think about honor, responsibility, and forgiveness.
