The New International Reader’s Version Minecrafters Bible is a hardback Bible with a Minecraft-themed cover that includes 24 (unofficial) pages related to Minecraft. One of the supplemental pages, for example, talks about The Last Supper, and includes an illustration of the disciples looking like Minecraft characters.

This year, I have reviewed two other New International Reader’s Versions children’s Bibles (a Veggie Tales Bible and an Under the Sea Bible), and like this Minecraft Bible, they both looked very cute. Though a cute cover may seem superficial, I think that if children are excited about owning a Bible, they will be more likely to read it. The Bible is a nice size and weight; it is 5.6 x 1.1 x 8.8 inches and weighs 1.4 pounds. The New International Reader’s Version Bible is best suited for children or non-native English speakers, though I like it, too. If you’re unsure whether the text will be too basic for your liking, I recommend reading a sample page of the Bible on Amazon.
