Bedtime Read and Rhyme Bible Stories, written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen and illustrated by Robert Dunn, is an excellent compilation of Bible stories for children. The book contains over thirty Bible stories, from Jacob dreaming of the ladder, to Esther becoming Queen, to Nehemiah building the walls of Jerusalem. It is a hardcover book, measuring 8.30 x 7.25 inches, with 208 pages.

The Bible stories can be enjoyed by both children and adults, and even though the book is marketed as a bedtime storybook, the stories would be great to read anytime. It is great to come across a good book full of Bible stories for children, so it is a nice find! Each story is written in poetic form, with lines such as, “God’s people squabbled /And wobbled and fell. God rescued them, Leaving great stories to tell – Of battles won, Miracles done, And prophets who spoke of / God sending his Son.” The stories tend to have at least sixteen or twenty verses of poetry, though many of the stories have more verses than that.
