The Inkblots: Hermann Rorschach, His Iconic Test, and the Power of Seeing by Damion Searls is the story of Rorschach and his famous test. I was really looking forward to this book; it’s a good read for anyone interested in psychology (or biographies). The text is dense and detailed, with a lot of research having been done on Searls’ part. The author writes well.
It is an educational book, and you can certainly learn a lot about Hermann Rorschach’s life by reading it. The book also includes sixteen pages of relevant photographs and Rorschach illustrations. Rorschach definitely made contributions to the psychological world – and his test had both positive and negative consequences on society. Hopefully this book will teach more people about his legacy.
