Can I Just Hide in Bed ‘Til Jesus Comes Back?: Facing Life with Courage, Not Comforters is a motivational Christian book written by Martha Bolton and Christin Ditchfield. Life can be very difficult sometimes, and Bolton and Ditchfield offer insightful encouragement to the readers amidst their difficulty. Though some inspirational books are better suited for people with only minor problems, this is the kind of book that would be a good fit for people who are facing serious issues (although people with minor problems could benefit from it, too).

When providing ways on how to face life head-on, the authors give both general and specific information. (For example, in one of the lighter parts of the book, they even include a list of feel-good movies!) I liked how the end of the book contains pages where you can make Top Ten lists, such as “Top Ten Disasters I Feared That Never Came to Pass.” There are forty-three chapters in the book, and each chapter could be individually used as part of a daily devotional. The book as a whole may be a good choice for a topical women’s Bible study.
