Do  Baby Bears Have Mommies? (I’ve Got Questions) by Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley is an educational children’s book that tells kids specific things about God’s amazing animals. It is a 32-page illustrated book geared for 4 to 7-year-olds. Children will learn facts about bears, ladybugs, elephants, earthworms, eagles, monkeys, kangaroos, skunks, cows, mice, giraffes, and ducks.

All of the illustrations in the book are extremely cute; they are stylized in a fashion similar to the way children draw, and they resemble colored pencil drawings. My favorite pages were the two devoted to mice. Children not only learn that mice build houses in grassy fields or snuggle in the hay (or burrow underground in the cold), but these young readers can also observe the adorable drawings of the mice, including a mouse in a dollhouse. I also loved the pages featuring a colorful variety of ladybugs, as well as the pages showing a mama kangaroo and her joey.

Do Baby Bears Have Mommies? would be a good bedtime story. The book sends a positive Christian message, reminding kids that God made all of these unique animals.
