It’s a fun way to re-read the Bible story in a condensed format. The Whole Bible Story is almost like CliffsNotes for the Bible – or like reading the Bible in textbook form.

Marty’s book spells out the major facts of the Biblical books in a way that is extremely easy to understand. He also writes in a clear and explanatory manner, and at the beginning of each chapter, describes the main characters and setting. My favorite chapter was The Story of the Church (Acts).

If someone thinks that the Bible is dull or dry, this book might serve as a  bridge, making the reader more interested in Bible – and more likely to read the Bible itself. The reader may come to learn that the Bible is not as dull or dry as they first believed.
