Called to Create: A Biblical Invitation to Create, Innovate, and Risk by Jordan Raynor is an upbeat Christian inspirational book exploring creativity. Raynor discusses the calling of creativity, the challenges of creativity, our “charge” to create, and why, what, and how we create. One of my favorite chapters was “Responding to Failure,” which examines being hopeful and transparent in the face of failure. I also enjoyed the chapter “The Goodness of Work,” which talks about the meaning of our work and the importance of everyone’s callings. Called to Create would be a great gift for Christian creatives.
