Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms is an inspirational book by Tim Tebow that offers valuable life advice. It was named the 2017 Christian book of the year – and it is the kind of book that I would give to someone as a gift.

One of my favorite chapters was “Who Said Normal is the Goal?”, which talks about having courage and celebrating uniqueness. I like how Tebow not only draws upon his own experiences, but also highlights other people’s stories. I especially liked the section that talks about Mark Stuart, the former leader vocalist of the rock band Audio Adrenaline – the passage reminds us that we can maintain a secure identity in Christ. You don’t have to be a sports fanatic to like this book; Tebow’s commentary on purpose, perseverance, and facing adversity is applicable to anyone.
