You Belong with Me by Tari Faris is a novel focusing on a realtor named Hannah, who lives in the historic town of Heritage, Michigan, and finds herself at odds with a business tycoon who wants to raze homes in Heritage. You Belong with Me is a great end-of-summer beach read.  I especially liked seeing Hannah’s relationship with her best friend, Luke; they have good “chemistry.” Often it is easy to see the chemistry between two characters in a movie or television show, because you can visually see their facial expressions and demeanor, but it is harder to see the chemistry between two characters in a book. Faris is a strong writer, and she conveys the chemistry of Hannah and Luke well. As I read You Belong with Me, I felt as if I could “get inside” Hannah’s head.
