Praying Women: How to Pray When You Don’t Know What to Say by Sheila Walsh reminds readers of the power and importance of prayer. One of my favorite chapters was called “Pray with Your Armor On,” especially the part about how Jesus taught his disciples to pray in Luke 11:1. Another favorite chapter of mine was called “Pray Hardest When It’s Hardest to Pray.” I like how Walsh shows throughout the book that prayer builds faithfulness, and that sometimes as we are waiting to hear from God, we are becoming more faithful versions of ourselves. The book pushes us to think more about the significance and meaningfulness of prayer. Walsh’s chapter called “Pray…and Don’t Give Up” is a good reminder that if God is for us, who can be against us?
