Bedtime Meditations for Kids


When your kids have trouble sleeping, there is sometimes no easy answer for making bedtime go smoothly. Bedtime Meditations for Kids: Quick Calming Exercises to Help Kids Get to Sleep by Cory Cochiolo is a good book for coming up with strategies to peacefully fall asleep. The book is tailored for children ages 4 to 8, to help make bedtime fun and calm. My favorite bedtime meditations were the Monster Stomp, which gives children a chance to “stomp out” their feelings before bedtime, and the Cloud-Jumping Game, which is a relaxing visualization exercise. The book provides a good array of exercises to help children overcome bedtime anxieties.
