In her book Congratulations, Graduate…Now What? Help in Figuring Out Your Future, Denise Fawcett Facey talks about how to navigate the post-grad life. She gives great advice about striving for your goals and following your dreams, and she writes about the importance of allowing God to lead our lives.
When I was a senior in college, I felt like I was at the top of my game. After I graduated, things were different. Even though the achievements I made in college were important and prepared me for my future career, some of my achievements meant very little in the real world. Post-graduation can be a very trying time, and this is one reason why Facey’s book is so important: it’s encouraging.
I liked how parts of the book were styled like a workbook, with reflection questions to answer. I also liked how Facey illustrated major points by talking about various post-grads, such as Meagan, who kept studying zoology despite negative and pessimistic comments from others. The book discusses so many essential topics, such as the importance of having high character and a strong work ethic, and not letting the past block your future. Whether you’ve just graduated or are in your twenties, this is a great book to read.
I received a review copy from BookCrash. Congratulations, Graduate…Now What? is available here on Amazon.
