The Red Door Inn: A Novel by Liz Johnson is a Christian romance novel which focuses on Marie Carrington and Seth Sloane, two people who are running from their past – but may have a future with each other. I loved The Red Door Inn’s enchanting setting on Prince Edward Island – perhaps because I’m a fan of Anne of Green Gables – and it was interesting to watch the characters’ trials and triumphs as the quaint Red Door Inn was renovoated. My favorite character in the book was Jack, the gregarious owner of the inn, because he seemed like a kind, empathic character. As the story progressed, I liked seeing how Seth and Marie faced their fears and helped each other grow.
