I love reading books focusing on personal safety, such as Gavin de Becker’s The Gift of Fear and Protecting the Gift, so I was eager to read Joe Yeager’s book #DigitalParenting: A Parent’s Guide to Social Media, Cyberbullying & Online Activity. The book reminds parents of very serious potential Internet dangers, and Yeager shares how parents can limit their children’s digital footprint (as well as their own) and make their family’s online activity more private. The book has a lot of very specific safety guidelines that parents can put into practice, and even though I have read quite a lot on this subject, I picked up new advice from this guide. It is very informative.
Yeager is currently holding a book giveaway on Goodreads, where you can enter for a chance to win one of 10 free first editions of #DigitalParenting. You can check out the giveaway here. You can buy #DigitalParenting here.
