Worth Living: How God’s Wild Love for You Makes You Worthy by Mary DeMuth is a book that talks about how we are all have worth because we are all loved by God. It’s a great book. Out of the many Christian self-help books that I have reviewed on my blog, Worth Living is one of my favorites. (Another favorite of mine is Holley Gerth’s You’re Loved No Matter What).
In Worth Living, each chapter explores a lie that people believe regarding their self-worth, such as “I do not deserve love,” and then discusses the corresponding truth that people should believe instead, such as “I am worth loving.” One of my favorite sections of the book talks about how we have worth no matter what; DeMuth reminds us that we are worthy when we sleep, and when we are sick, and when we fail. The book is well-written and well-organized, and Demuth presents so many pertinent points reiterating how we are worthy through Jesus Christ.
