The Starter Bible

The Starter Bible by Thomas Nelson is a children’s Bible that briefly covers the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David and Goliath, Esther, Daniel, Jonah, Jesus’ birth, and the wedding in Cana, as well as several of Jesus’ miracles, Jesus’ death, and Jesus’ resurrection. The book has forty pages (6.5 x 6.4 inches in size), and each set of two pages contains illustrations and several sentences summarizing a particular Bible story. The book is attached to a large plastic purple handle, though I find it more comfortable to hold the book itself instead of the handle.

Though this children’s Bible is nice, if I were to buy a children’s Bible for a young child, I would probably choose the Read with Me Bible for Toddlers. Like The Starter Bible, it was published by a subsidiary of Harper Collins.
