NKJV Know the Word Study Bible is a New King James Version Bible by Thomas Nelson that includes supplemental commentary, helping readers gain a greater understanding of the Bible. Oak Tree Reviews recommends this Bible over the NKJV Word Study Bible.
Each book of the Bible features an introductory page, which briefly summarizes the book, discusses how to study the book, and lists verses that are “book highlights.” The Bible also contains extensive footnotes, informative sections offering insight on specific Biblical passages, and eight colorful pages of relevant maps. The footnotes and sections offering insight are probably the most worthwhile supplemental materials in this book.
The 1,920-page Bible primarily contains black serifed font, with Jesus’ words in red. The section headings are written in bold black text, and some of the supplemental materials contain red trim or red text. The book also contains a thorough index and tables of weights and measures. In the style of many Bibles, the pages are tissue-paper thin.
Even though this Bible is about 2.2 pounds, it is a nice size, measuring 5.5 x 1.5 x 8.5 inches; it actually seems like a Bible that an adult could use for personal study and also be able to carry to church without much trouble.
