Ekklesia: Rediscovering God’s Instrument for Global Transformation by Ed Silvoso discusses the importance of the church, the church’s true design, and how the church can transform the world. Through the book, Silvoso provides readers with a fuller understanding of Ekklesia – from a fuller understanding of the Gospel and Great Commission, to a fuller understanding of the Cross. My favorite chapter was “A Fuller Understanding of What God Loves the Most,” which talks about topics including Christian ministries in Hong Kong and binary truths about Jesus (such as Jesus being full of grace and truth). A church could use this book as a Bible study resource or a tool for evangelism.
