I absolutely loved the book Snuggle Times Prayers, written by Glenys Nellist and illustrated by Cee Biscoe, so I was really looking forward to checking out Nellist and Biscoe’s newest book, Snuggle Time Psalms. Just as magnificent as the first book, Snuggle Time Psalms did not disappoint! This is the type of book that would make a great baby gift.

Each set of two pages focuses on a different Psalm (such as Psalm 63) and features relevant poetic verses and illustrations. Nellist’s words are written in a sweet and soothing manner, and the book would make an excellent bedtime story. (One verse reads, “So when I kiss my bear goodnight, And give him one last hug, I know that I can sleep in peace, Wrapped up in your great love.”) The illustrations are fantastic, and their soft, delicate look makes them look very appealing.

One thing that makes this book stand out is that its words have substance. Reading each psalm and its accompanying poem is like reading a prayer to God, and this bedtime story would be a great way for parents and children to reflect on Scripture together.
